LADELLE Y. FEEMSTER.
Reverend LaDelle Feemster is a native of Waldorf, Maryland and was educated in the Charles County Public School System. She gave her life to Christ at the age of 14 and became deeply involved in the church. She received her calling into the ministry at the age of 18 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland and a Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. While she attended Frostburg State University, she was licensed to preach by the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. During her studies at Wesley Theological Seminary, she was ordained an itinerant deacon and elder by the AME Church.
Reverend Feemster has been blessed to serve as an associate minister to under gird pastoral leadership and ministries of various churches. Her ministerial experience as an associate minister ranges from intercessory prayer facilitator, Bible Study, Sunday School and new members classes teacher to youth and young adult minister and coordinator of women’s and liturgical dance ministries. She enjoys an evangelistic/preaching ministry that crosses denominational and racial boundaries and spans diverse settings including seminars, retreats, conferences and the school system.
God has also expanded her ministry to include opportunities in missions. She has served on work teams during domestic mission trips to Native American reservations in Arizona. She has participated in a two-week mission trip to South Africa and she has served as a volunteer missionary during a one-year mission trip to Kenya, East Africa where she taught Church History, Biblical Interpretation and Psychology at the Kenya Highlands Bible College.
She has been enriched through employment opportunities as the administrative assistant of Theological Education and Leadership Development Programs at the Congress of National Black Churches, Inc. and as the Executive Director of the Emory Beacon of Light Inc.
Reverend Feemster is grateful to serve in full-time ministry as the assistant pastor of Emory United Methodist Church as the Emory church family seeks to fulfill the vision and mission that was given through the prophetic leadership of the senior pastor.
